As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide structured, ethical, and development‑focused supervision for LMSWs seeking licensure in Georgia. My role is to support you in strengthening your skills, navigating complex cases, and building the confidence needed to practice at the LCSW level. According to the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists, the requirements include:

  • Timeframe: The required hours must be obtained over a period of no less than 36 months (3 years) and no more than 9 years.

  • Experience Hours: A total of at least 3,000 clock hours of post-MSW supervised clinical experience.

  • Supervision Hours: At least 120 hours of direct clinical supervision, with a limit of no more than 50 hours of supervision per year.

In Georgia, the Georgia Composite Board enforces a strict 50% cap on group supervision. Out of the mandatory 120 total hours of clinical supervision required for your LCSW, the breakdown must follow these limits:

  • Group Supervision Cap: Maximum of 60 hours (no more than 50%) can be completed in a group setting.

  • Individual Supervision Minimum: Minimum of 60 hours (at least 50%) must be completed on an individual basis.
